Even as a high school student, I wanted to become a commodities trader. As a basis, I studied law and worked in corresponding companies during the summer. This opened up a broad horizon of subjects to me and taught me social competence in business activities. My bosses began to trust me and gave me responsibilities, and people listened to me when it came to making decisions. And in this way, I grew into my role over time.

In doing so, I learned that trust is the only key to being consulted, as an advisor, on all major decisions. My trade consists of cross-generational listening, understanding, translating, mediating and trading. When speaking with clients, we discuss economics and finances, although recognition and family are dealt with equally as often.

Values
I do not believe that you can pick out a system of values. Values are invariables. You absorb them with your milk as a baby. The social environment defines the details and you set priorities yourself. I organize my list of values around honesty and loyalty. This is what I give and expect, both privately and professionally.
Markets
As an employee and partner of Finad, I work in the financial market and, of course, in a market of services. I consider the increasing regulation and politicization regretful due to the associated loss of the sense of responsibility and consensus of values on all sides.
Trends
Turning to a multi family office became a new trend within the scope of the roundly criticized financial industry. The knowledge that someone is working solely in the client’s interests and has no political background or individual interests impresses and reassures clients.
Risks
Risks are part of life. They are the momentum and often also the driver of business people. I consider the concept of correctly assessing risks naive. It is more important to understand the risk tolerance of a client and also to understand that this is a variable development in the client’s life.
Countries
I know Austria, Spain, Italy, Germany and South America in detail, as I have clients there. I monitor the US and France with interest and I am also interested in Russia, particularly out of personal curiosity and due to previous work. Often, small countries introduce changes, while major powers shape their development.
People
You only become aware of yourself by seeing yourself through the eyes of another person. For this reason, I enjoy valuable encounters, which move, inspire and enrich me in turn. I am curious about people, like to interact with them, and also value events which I only really use to engage in individual conversations.
