Christoph Schwarzenbach

I studied engineering, but was then able to gain experience as a management consultant, which opened up a wide range of subjects to me. By coincidence, I came to Finad and found a great mentor and close confidante in Miguel Steiner. For me, consultancy is at the forefront and the individual is at the heart of our work.

I am a general specialist in issues that concern most people. Ultimately, our job secures the livelihood and continuance of assets for our clients and their families. My partners and I provide security and competence, which make the most of everything for our clients – honestly, impartially and without any sales pressure. I enjoy working in a team with such a broad wealth of expertise.

Personal convictions

Values
My parents shaped me. They taught me that tolerance and generosity should come as standard. As an adult, authenticity, directness and the certainty that not all that glitters is gold have become constant attributes of my personality.
Markets
We work in many markets: in the financial market, personnel market and service market. If you know supply and demand, then you can gain. I have learned “there’s life in the old dog yet,” “overnight success sometimes takes years,” and “first come, first served”.
Trends
Family offices are in vogue. Unfortunately, there are significantly more marketing shells than real competition. The client base is noticeably increasing, as many people are looking for real relationships of trust in their business dealings again due to the politicized climate. FINAD offers this and a wide range of other services.
Risks
Risk must be competently evaluated, but is the primary source of opportunities. Those who invest purchase risks. You can’t get ahead without risk, which is why I think it’s best to take them with relish rather than fearfully. It makes you more alert that way. I consider controlled risks to be invigorating.
Countries
Western Europe is a focus for my clients, but also South America. I have personal relationships to people there and spent some of my childhood there. Emerging nations offer me visual lessons in all things reality. Switzerland sets the standard in the development of family offices.
People
Dealing with people provides me with enriching experiences. It is important to be adaptable and tolerant in order to really get to know people. My work is full of interesting people. I’m grateful for this and consider my work to be valuable as a result.
