I began my tertiary studies with a Bachelor’s degree in macroeconomics at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). I complemented this with a “Banking and Finance” Master’s, for which I also studied at the HSG. The big picture of world affairs was and is important to me. Big things happen on a large scale.

Many financial advisors claim to want to achieve the best for their clients, but only very few actually do so. The difference between us and others is that we want to and are also able to do this independently and at the highest level of responsibility. In this matter we work uncompromisingly in the interest of our customers and are independent of short-term trends.

Personal convictions

Values
At a young age, one takes in many things without putting them into categories. Morals and ethics are learned primarily in the family and in the personal environment. Honesty, the ability to work in a team, the willingness to perform and openness towards others are qualities that count in our line of work.
Markets
If one observes the markets, many are too quick to judge and are distracted by the daily ups and downs. I observe markets from a perspective beyond their daily performance. I recognize innovations and social developments as drivers and barometers of the markets.
Trends
Globalization, digitalization and automation are major trends that will occupy us for future decades. The effects of this change are probably overestimated in the short term, but clearly underestimated in the long term. Transparency and efficiency in terms of performance are trends in asset management that accompany us.
Risks
Disruptive business models are risks for some industries. Suddenly a marketplace becomes the largest payment processor and established companies fall like dominoes. One economic risk is the enormously high level of debt, and the correction will be unsettling and have serious consequences.
Countries
Many of our customers come from the DACH region, i.e. from Switzerland, Germany and Austria. But we invest worldwide. The capital markets of the major regions of the world all have to be analysed, whereby the USA still plays a leading role in many economic aspects. Switzerland as a country embodies like no other, many characteristics that are expected from a family office. Clients appreciate legal security and stability.
People
We work with customers and in this respect we have an affinity to people. I am lucky to have the opportunity to look after very interesting customers with whom I cultivate deep relationships. I believe that seeing and knowing the good in a person is more important than looking for the bad.
