Paco van der Putten

Originally from Basel, my background is an amalgamation of Swiss, Italian and Dutch influences. Towards the end of high school, my academic journey led me to Cambridge University, where I developed a keen interest in the nuanced interplay between quantitative and qualitative aspects within the investment domain.

Subsequently, my academic pursuits extended to China, where I pursued a Masters of Finance, immersing myself in the intricacies of global markets and economies. After a two year stint at a fast growing Fintech in London, I’ve taken the step to establish my professional presence at FINAD in Zurich.

My current commitment revolves around empowering families and entrepreneurs by providing them with insights cultivated from a diverse range of experiences. This equips them to navigate investment decisions with confidence and proficiency. Guided by a steadfast passion for markets and investing, I am well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to your financial journey.

Personal convictions

Values
My parents raised me with the importance of honesty, straightforwardness, hard work, and an appreciation for those around me. These values shape how I operate, professionally and privately.
Markets
Markets are infinitely complex and understanding this must influence how we take decisions. I believe, we should aim to navigate markets in an independent, logical, and long-term approach, free of perverse incentives.
Trends
Trends come and go, some stay longer, while others might dissipate quickly. I believe they shape, but also sometimes hinder us in how we make decisions. Keeping an objective perspective and avoiding emotional decisions, such as chasing irrational exuberance, is key.
Risks
Markets do not exist without risks. Risk is what rewards, but also punishes us. It is therefore important to rationally manage risk over the long run and avoid sporadic decisions in the moment.
Countries
At home I speak Italian with my mother, German with my father and English when I speak to both. Having lived in England and China for many years, I appreciate and thrive in an environment with diverse cultures and opinions.
People
Interactions with friends, family and clients enrich life and help us broaden our horizons. We learn and grow through others and are influenced from the very beginning by those around us.
