Dr. Alfred Schwarzenbach

Alfred Schwarzenbach founded FINAD with Miguel Steiner in 1976, creating one of the first independent asset managers. At the time, he was also the fourth generation to work for textile company Robt. Schwarzenbach, which was founded in 1829. The company later known as the Schwarzenbach Group would go on to become the world’s largest silk industrial company after the First World War. Given his personal experience with a family business, Alfred Schwarzenbach recognised the need for independent investment advice.
